Alix and Amy, co-directors of Intersectional Uprising, are the powerhouse duo you didn’t know you needed—equal parts passion, chaos, and unstoppable feminist fire. Not only do they run the show together, but they’re also the very best of friends, having met through the January marches and instantly clicking over a shared love of justice, laughter, and the occasional ridiculous meme. Their bond brings a spark to the team that reminds everyone we’re all human, equal, and allowed to be a bit silly while changing the world. Alix is a badass mother of four, currently juggling family life with an English degree (and somehow still keeping everyone else organised), whilst Amy, a bubbly cat mum with a who works in STEM,  keeps the energy high and the momentum flowing. Together, they’ve weathered the wild ride of starting a new organisation—the highs, the lows, the “what are we doing?” moments—and come out stronger, louder, and more determined than ever. Both proud, unapologetic feminists, they believe it’s their duty to make sure feminism moves forward—intersectional, inclusive, and absolutely never boring.
